Carmel Holt, has collaborated with Sonos Radio to create a second show under Holt’s SHEROES umbrella -  Mixtape Memoir. The series will launch today (International Women’s Day) as a bi-weekly show. The first episode features artist/ producer and former Danity Kane member, Dawn Richard.

Each womxn’s life has its own soundtrack: songs that become symbolic of important moments and relationships, creative sparks, challenges, and triumphs. This is where you’ll hear womxn who make music share the music that made them. The program explores the transportive power of song, and its lasting impact on womxn’s lives and creativity. As music fans, we've long heard and enjoyed artist-curated playlists, but Mixtape Memoir brings a new and exciting twist to this concept, told from a female (and feminist) perspective. Guest, host, and audience share in the experience of listening and remembering. The guest’s selected songs are cued, and at key moments in each story, host Carmel Holt spontaneously hits play, and we get to hear guests listen and respond to the songs they’ve chosen, as their personal mixtape unfolds in real time. Additional Mixtape Memoir guests include Jamila Woods, Julien Baker, Merrill Garbus, Neko Case, Brandy Clark and Nubya Garcia.

Mixtape Memoir will be available on Sonos Sound System - the brand’s ad-free signature station on Sonos Radio, which invites culture seekers to explore the latest releases from emerging artists, forgotten hits, deep cuts from the archives, stories behind the music, exclusive interviews, and industry news. Sonos Radio is available free for all Sonos customers globally, pre-loaded in the Sonos app. As the inventor of multi-room wireless home audio, and one of the world’s leading sound experience brands, Sonos is currently in 10+ Million households and has 25 million users across Sonos.
